I have an Italian mother. For those of you who don't have an Italian mother let me explain. Have you seen Everybody loves Raymond? My mom is kind of like that but foxy with the reddest hair you have ever seen and riding a John Deere quad. She's my boss, land lord, babysitter and uh well mother. So she has the power to fire me, evict me and ground me (haha). Love you Ma!!! Italian stereo types aren't really too far off around here. There's some yelling, crying and feeding each other. I'm not sure how much you talk to your Mother but mine calls me on her lunch break, stops by on her way home, and then calls me again later that evening because she thought of a ‘FYI’. Did I mention she can now text and has Facebook? I am smothered in motherly love. My mother is a worrier. Now I know what you are thinking all moms are worriers. Not like my mother: Ring ring. "Hello" "Hey Ma!" gasp "what happened?!" "Nothing mom I just wanted to know of you wanted some Manicotti!" "Oh are you sure you are ok?" "Yeees Ma!" I'm a mother of two amazing kiddos now. This has added a whole new level of worry for my own mother. She looks at me terrified and asks where my daughter is. "Oh mom she's 5 now I just put her in the kennel and came to town. She will be fine!" Obviously this is sarcasm but MY Mother is NOT laughing! It has been 5 years and my mother still thinks I might lose my kid. Wait where did I leave that thing? (Disclaimer: I'm a phenomenal mother. I know everyone says that but I have credible witnesses!!) Today she came home while the kids and I were on a walk. She proceeded to search the ranch for us. I'm 30 and I have to check in with my Mommy when I go somewhere. She could of been a private investigator. She WILL find you! One time in HS I “ran away”. My Mother found the house I ran to, took my stuff and left a note that said "call your mother". No I am not kidding! In high school she had all of my friends license plate numbers and vehicle descriptions in her Rolodex (yes I said Rolodex?!) "just in case". She also does some investigating when I'm away. Oh Mom if you are sneaking around the house then don't rearrange everything and unplug all the lights so they "don't start at fire!" Well guys I have to go my mom is calling....."Yes Ma?!"
